How to Reduce the Gas Fee when Swapping from $MRat v1 to $SMRat v2
MoonRat is a great token and as known as the first token that let you claim BNB reward. However, the problem with being the first is that there will be many loopholes to be explored by greedy people. MoonRat devs have recently discovered a loophole which caused the reward disappeared in their BNB pool. Thru the poll, the devs and the community have agreed that the best way to fix this loophole is to migrate is MoonRat v1 to Security Moon Rat v2.
However, many people have reported the difficulty when migrating to $SMRat v2 as the gas fee is so high. I have decided to create a guide to help you guys to lower the fee down which I hope it will help you to have a better experience with new MoonRat. To the Moon!!!!
Step 1. Open your Wallet, choose Dapp (Browser)
Step 2 (Important). Go to the dashboard IN YOUR WALLET: app.moonrat.finance
Step 3 (Important). Change the network from Ethereum to Smart Chain
Step 4. Scroll to MoonRat migration part
Step 5. Click on “Approve”, click on gear (top right) and delete one “0” on Gas Limit. Go back to Confirm the transaction (Gas Fee should be 0.XX now). Waiting for the Successful process.
Step 6. Click on the “Swap” button, click on gear (top right) and change the number to “264082” or 500 000 on Gas Limit and confirm the transaction. And waiting until the swapping process finishes.
Note: “264082” will give you much lower gas fee BUT lower chance of success Tx. “500 000” will give you higher gas fee BUT higher chance of success Tx. The reason is there are too many people doing the Swapping right now. If you want lower gas fee with higher chance of success Tx, please wait a few days to swap.
Step 7. Done… You can see the text “Swapped successfully!”…. your $MRAT swapped to $SMRAT.
Note: If the Swap keeps spinning. Turn the Wallet off and on again. Accept the Gas Fee lost and try again. Or keep waiting.
